When do you need a DAM (Digital Asset Manager)?
At first glance, digital asset management may seem trivial, but fast-growing companies often hit hurdles sharing and collaborating on brand assets, especially for web content that is regularly updated. Makeswift offers two ways to manage these digital assets — our built-in files manager or an integrated, external DAM (Digital Asset Manager) like Bynder.
Files search
You can now quickly find files and folders using the new search tab in the files manager. When opening the files manager from the builder’s left sidebar, you’ll be immediately taken to the files search and shown the most recently uploaded files. You’ll then be able to search for files and folders within your site and workspace files.
Improved files management and sorting
The files manager has received a small facelift with lots of new improvements added to make organizing your files much easier.
Next.js App Router support
You can now render Makeswift pages in App Router! Upgrade to the latest version of Makeswift using `npm upgrade @makeswift/runtime@latest` to start using Makeswift with App Router today.
Site publishing and history
We recently released a major update to the publishing workflow in Makeswift. Instead of publishing one page at a time, you can now make bulk edits to your site go live in a single publish. With the new publish dialog, you can easily select which pages you want to publish, all from one place.

Makeswift is joining BigCommerce!
Today marks a major milestone for the Makeswift team. Throughout 2023 we have been working closely with the BigCommerce team as both a customer and a partner. Through this process we have discovered a shared vision for the composable web and the interfaces we use to create it. I am thrilled to announce that we have decided to join the BigCommerce family to accelerate the Makeswift vision and bring world class visual building to the thousands of BigCommerce brands and beyond.
Bynder Integration
We now support external asset management through Bynder, a Digital Asset Management platform. This enterprise integration allows you to use assets in Bynder as images, background images, meta images, and favicons within Makeswift.
Custom host sitemaps
We recently released `getSitemap`, a first-class way to create a sitemap for the pages you have built in a Makeswift custom host . The return type of getSitemap
