We’ve rolled out a new set of updates designed to make creating, managing, and publishing your sites in Makeswift even more seamless. From AI-powered translations to powerful new route management and a refreshed interface, this release helps you move faster and work smarter.

AI Translations (alpha)

You can now translate text directly within Makeswift using AI. Simply select any translatable text on your pages, and it will automatically translate it into your page’s current locale language. This streamlines localization workflows, helping you build multilingual experiences faster without leaving the builder.

AI Translations are currently in alpha and available for select users. Reach out to us if you’d like to try out AI Translations.

Routes (beta)

Routes are a new way to bring pages managed outside of Makeswift into your builder view. Whether your content lives in another CMS or an ecommerce platform like BigCommerce, you can now visualize and organize those pages right alongside your Makeswift ones.

You’ll find a new Routes section in Site Settings, where you can easily add and manage them. And if a page added as a route is integrated with Makeswift, you can even edit it visually, just like any other Makeswift page.

A fresh look for Site Settings and Publishing

We’ve also refreshed all sections in Site Settings and the Publish dialog to make your workflow feel cleaner, more modern, and more consistent. The functionality you love is all still there, just with a sleek new design that brings everything together visually.

Improvements and fixes

• You no longer have to re-login after 24 hours when signing in with Google or BigCommerce. Login cookies now expire after 30 days.
• Add custom color names to all color picker menus
• Fixed styling issues for page search within Link panels
• Added development stage badges to features in Early Access settings
• Fixed an edge case when a user attempted to reset a localized page to the base locale, but the base locale does not exist
• Fixed an issue where triple dot menus buttons remained visible after toggling the tree nav
• Removed artifacts that were displayed when the builder scrollbars were hidden
• Fixed text alignment issues within Avatars
