Layers panel
We’re excited to announce our new layers panel!
This feature enhances visibility within the visual builder, making it easier to view nested elements. As your pages grow in complexity, it’s common to lose track of where elements are placed and how they’re nested. The layers panel provides a bird’s-eye view of your layout, helping you locate where components live. This is especially important in cases where components use absolute positioning, because where they’re dropped isn’t always where you will see them on the canvas.
The layers panel also offers valuable insight into the structure and intent of the original creator’s design. This means reduced guesswork – making it easier to understand a page's structure, especially when collaborating with others.
This is just the start of some exciting updates for this new feature. As we continue to refine our new layers panel over time, you can expect to see:
- Drag and drop sorting
- Visibility control
- Double click to rename
Guests
We have a new user role available in the workspace: Guest. This update enables users to share draft work within Makeswift to relevant stakeholders, enhancing collaboration and feedback between teams.
Guests will sit outside of your workspace user limit—so you won’t be billed for adding these users. Guest have a read-only view, allowing them to see all content in the visual builder without the ability to edit any part.
